Worship Ministry!

We take seriously our call to develop as Worship Leaders and to develop the Worship Leaders of the future. We believe that Scripture teaches that worship is an attitude of a person’s heart! If you have a call in the area of the worship music ministry, or even just an interest, you are welcome and encouraged to get involved. We love making new friends! You will meet new people and have the opportunity to form lasting and meaningful relationships. In the process, you will have the joy of leading and influencing people in worship in and beyond our church building. It is an exciting and rewarding journey! Please know that what we are about is WORSHIP, not performance. We are called to be worshipers first and believe that the best way to LEAD worship is to worship!

CHOIR-There is no audition for the worship choir. We welcome you and would be delighted for you to join with us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM in the choir room located in the Music Ministry area. The SSFBC Worship Choir sings at the 8:15 AM and 7:00 PM service each Sunday. In addition there are seasonal events that are also a part of the Worship choir ministry. Back to TOP

Age Appropriate Choirs-We have preschool choirs beginning at age 2. There is a choir for every preschool age. We have children’s choirs for 1st grade through 5th grade. These are on Wednesday nights. Check the schedule to find the right room. Back to TOP

The Middle School choir that covers 6th through 8th grade meets on Wednesday nights at 5:30 PM in room 107 across the hallway from the Music Ministry area. Back to TOP

“RISE” High School worship team that includes high school freshman through seniors meet at 5:30 PM on Sunday nights in the choir room located in the Music Ministry area. “RISE” leads worship on special Sunday nights and other events. They also go on a major mission tour each summer. “RISE” not only music, but also includes drama and interpretive movement. Back to TOP

MEDIA TEAM-Everything we do in worship through worship arts requires technical assistance. Whether it is in the specific area of sound support, computer and screen support, camera support, or lighting support, there is always a growing need for help. If you are interested in media, please contact the music office for more information. Back to TOP

ORCHESTRA-Our worship orchestra is growing. If you play an instrument, please come by the music office and get a copy of the upcoming music. It would be great to have you join this growing ministry. The SSFBC Worship Orchestra plays at the 8:15 and 11:00 AM services each Sunday. In addition there are seasonal events that are also a part of the Worship orchestra ministry.
