Time Change Sunday

A GREAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-THURSDAY
Last night Dr. Kent Pate did a wonderful job at Bible Study for RECHARGE.  We were particularly blessed by having Belinda, his wife, back with us.  Belinda is a walking answer to prayer and we praise the Lord for her.  She has some more medical needs in the future so we continue to pray for her.   Last night Rev. Kenneth Rhoades began a New Life Journey class called: “THE REAL GOD”.  New Life Journey courses are offered to help followers of Jesus to grow in their Christian walk with the Lord.  There is still time for you to become a part of this course.
Today the Women Going Forward met for their monthly meeting in room 108 at noon.  Jim Barksdale brought a short devotional and there was plenty of delicious food.  There was no Parent’s Day Out today because there was no public school in session.  About 50 to 60 percent of Hopkins County are headed to San Antonio to watch the big basketball game tonight.  The high school basketball team is in the state championship game tonight.  We are very proud as a community for them and we all yell:  “GO WILDCATS!”
If you have elementary or youth students please sign your student up for Summer Camp.  Registration for youth and elementary students is taking place now and you can register your student on line or by coming into the church office.  Please take advantage of the early bird sign up and cost.
Tomorrow the Men’s Coffee Fellowship will meet in room 108 at 8:30 a. m.  All men are invited.
TIME CHANGE SUNDAY!  This Sunday morning (3/10) is time change Sunday.  It is time to SPRING your clock forward.  To be official, you must change your clock at 2:00 a. m.
Whatever you look for hard enough, you will probably find or discover.  Attitude determines results.  If you think and look for negative results, you can discover.  A Christian should always look for the positive because “God leads us in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake”.  Because God loves us and wants the best for us, we can trust God.
Have a great day in your neighborhood!   Fred W. Lewis
