Health Fair tonight

A GREAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-TUESDAY

      Today Parents Day Out began at 8:30 a. m.  At 9:00 a. m. Ladies Praying Together met in the Conference Room.  At 9:00 a. m. Rehoboth Baptist Association ha a preaching clinic in Fellowship Hall.  The guest speaker was Dr.  Bob McCartney who is pastor of the Wichita Falls  First Baptist Church.  The seventh annual 50 PLUS HEALTH FAIR will be held at the ROC from 4:30 p. m. through 6:30 p. m.  There will be free hot dogs, chips and drink for all that attend.  This year the time is later in the afternoon to give an opportunity for those people still in the employment world to attend.  

     Last Sunday night the FBC preschoolers sang in the 6:00 p. m. Worship Service.  They were a blessing and did a super job.   We are thankful to have them and they are the future church.

     On Wednesday night (4/3) for RECHARGE, Dr. Kent Pate will be the Bible teacher.  The church family menu is: chicken fried steak; baked potatoes with fixings; salad; drink and dessert.  There will be other ministries for all ages from 6:00 p. m. to 7:
   

     Dr. Preben Vang will be here for the next two Sundays.  On Palm Sunday (4/14) every person coming to a worship service will receive a palm branch to use during the worship service.  Dr. Vang will be here to preach and special plans for the worship services on Palm Sunday.  The evening worship service on Palm Sunday will be the observance of the Lord’s Supper.  A reception for Dr. and Mrs. Vang will be held in Fellowship Hall after the evening worship service.  A love offering is being collected to honor Dr. Vang.

     On Easter Sunday morning (4/21) our new pastor, Dr. Gravens, will be here to preach for the first time as Pastor of FBC.  There will be two full services at the 8:30 a. m. and the 11:00 a. m. services.  There will be two classic services in the Worship Center and two contemporary services in Spence Chapel.  Dr. Gravens will preach in the Worship Center at the 8:30 and 11:00 a. m. worship services.

    We collect a lot of toys in life.   The last box we find ourselves in, we do not have any of our toys with us.
