Mid-Week Bible Study-Dr. David Hardage

A GRAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH—TUESDAY
                                                PERHAPS TODAY!!
     Sunday was a wonderful day at First Baptist Church.  Dr. Vang did a super job in his biblical message and preparing the church for a new pastor.  Dr. Vang’s last Sunday with us is Palm Sunday (4/14).  We have been blessed as a church family in having him and his wife with us for the past year.  A love offering is being taken up by the church family to show our love and appreciation for him and his wife.  There will be a reception for them next Sunday night after the evening worship service.  On this Sunday night, Dr. Vang will lead in the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
     Yesterday, we began the work week with Staff Meeting at 9:00 a. m. and Tommy Johnston lead the staff meeting.  On Monday evening the CBS meet to study the Bible and Dr. Curt Cutrell leads the evening group.  Two of our staff members are in a conference and mission evaluation preview trip for the summer mission trip.  They plan to be back on Wednesday.
     Today Parent’s Day Out begins at 8:30 a. m.  The Women’s Prayer Group met in the Conference Room at 9:00 a. m. 
     Wednesday (4/10) RECHARGE Bible study will begin at 6:15 p. m. in room 109.  The Bible teacher will be Dr. David Hardage of the BGCT.  Dr. Hardage is a former pastor of FBC and the Executive Director of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  The church family menu:  chicken fried steak; gravy; mashed potatoes; green beans; salad; roll; drink and dessert.
     Thursday (4/11) the 60 Plus will have a Night Out by going to Vaughn’s Catfish Restaurant.  The bus leaves at 5:00 p. m.  Anyone is invited to come and enjoy of good night out of food and fellowship.
     Dr. Don Brown has written a new book and is published.  The name is:  “EXPERIENDCES OF A LIFE TIME”.  You can order the book on Amazon.  Don is a man of God and God has used him and his wife for many years to bless His Kingdom.  You would enjoy reading his life experiences.
     This Sunday morning begins the week of Holy Week.  Sunday is Palm Sunday and the following Sunday (4/21) is Easter where we celebration of the Risen Lord Jesus.  It is through the Cross and the Resurrection that we have HOPE as followers of Christ.  Use the Holy Week in preparation for Easter.
